I’m thrilled to announce that Constable and Robinson have commissioned a novel jointly authored by me and forensic expert Professor Dave Barclay, written under the pen name A D Garrett. The collaboration was conceived at the Harrogate Crime Writing Festival in 2010, after a chance remark by my agent – a full update in a newsletter to follow. BEST EATEN COLD is the Squad’s second anthology of short stories. It’s just over ten years since our first, and there are stories from Martin Edwards, Ann Cleeves, Cath Staincliffe, Stuart Pawson, and me! This is a great readers’ group collection. Just under seventy people turned out to Linghams bookshop, Heswall for the launch of the Murder Squad anthology. They enjoyed the wine, ate good food and listened to stories – a perfect way to spend a wintry evening. Thanks to Eleanor and her staff who made us so welcome!
